Honestly a great RPG overall. With solid gameplay, amazing characters, a plot with twists and turns, and wholesome yuri, it’s hard to ask for more. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you want to experience a compelling underdog story, look no further.

That game was one hell of a ride to play through!
The screen-caps looked promising and so I got the game and played it.
Keeping it short: came for the wholesome content and maybe some decent gameplay,
was washed away by an amazing and dramatic story, supremely written dialogues, top-notch gameplay, character development that puts AAA-titles to shame and even some decent music!
This game easily climbed to the very high ranks of my personal favorites (and I play A LOT of games from here =D)
Try it and You won’t be dissapointed!

114 hours of playtime as of writing this review. Currently doing my NG+ run. All I can say is, this is a JRPG masterpiece, criminally underrated. Best you can do is go in blind and be taken by surprise at how awesome and engaging the story of Demons Roots is!

This game is surprisingly incredible. The H-Scenes aren’t the main draw, but they don’t disappoint. The story is so exceptional that I would recommend it on that alone… This isn’t to say that this doesn’t hit on a lot of good H-Content that I am a fan of. All in all, I would highly recommend this game, but you should know that it is not as straightforward as some other H-Games. If you strictly want to see boobies, then it might not be for you, but if you are wanting a game that is actually Really enjoyable and has good content, then this is the game for you! Seriously could not recommend it enough

Astonishingly good. Despite all expectations, this game easily sits in the same tier as Chrono Trigger.

Masterful storytelling that is woven well in the visuals and gameplay. It also has plenty of achievements like end-game bosses, hidden items, and hidden scenarios.
My only dislike is the slowness of turn based battles. I just wish it was slightly faster because some battles feel like a slog to go through and in late game you can kill most mobs with auto attacks only.

One of the best games I’ve played to this date, you can feel the love put into the story.
The story is very tragic, but beautiful at the same time, it’s one of those games you stay for the plot, and speaking of it, 10/10.
The h-scenes are quite integral for the plot at tomes and yes, they are not for the faith of heart, but the game take its roots on the storyline rather than h-scenes.
Overall, 10/10, I’m doing the NG+ run, and can’t wait for King’s exit!

An Rpg where the enemies and encounters seem to be made with intelligence. Challenging as the enemy encounters are made with some strategy in how u can fight and how they fight. Funny at times and english translation is excellent. A lot of content worth the price point. I got on sale for 10 and I don’t think ive experience more than possibly a third of the game after a couple of days playing. A reverse on the hero’s journey experience where the bad guys arent the demons at all. 🙂

I made an account here just for this game. Absolutely fantastic! Hands down my favorite RPG. Awesome characters with an incredible story that’s the H scenes can be abbreviated/skipped in most cases. (Personally I think they add to the story imo) I was a blubbering mess by the end of this magical ride.
