Kou, the descendant of a family that manages a deserted shrine, meets a mysterious woman called Miyu who wanders the streets at night with a bamboo sword. When Kou and Miyu discover the ancient book that Miyu is searching for, lightning strikes, and the world begins to spiral.

Kou is the descendant of a family that manages a deserted shrine. He, his childhood friends Azusa and Yurina, and his best friend Souma are constantly worried about their future. One day, as summer approaches, Kou meets Miyu, a mysterious woman who wanders the night with a bamboo sword wrapped in her bag. When Kou approaches her, Miyu tells him she’s looking for a very old book that might be hidden somewhere in the city. Turns out the book Miyu is looking for is being kept in the shrine that Kou’s family manages. When the two of them reach out to pick up the book, lightning strikes, and the world begins to spiral.

Miyu

Miyu is calm and collected but slightly stubborn. She transfers to a new town for an investigation and meets Kou. Although she is a skilled fighter, she can be quite ignorant regarding technology since she grew up in the countryside. Miyu fights with a sword, but she’ll only use it to protect people close to her and scare away enemies.

Azusa

Azusa is childhood friends with Kou. She is often seen smiling and has a soft, laid-back personality that makes others like her. Due to her ditzy nature, Kou often has to watch out for Azusa and take care of her.

Yurina

Yurina is Kou’s childhood friend and Azusa’s younger sister. Unlike Azusa, Yurina is much more responsible and mindful, oftentimes watching out for her older sister.
